1/ Whining Isn't Only for Humans

Two of my cats are complainers. Fortunately, they're otherwise lovable and quite beautiful—two of my all-time favorite cats. Rocky's one blue eye and frequent vocalizing are Siamese traits. He blames me for wind, rain and snow. This adds up. Pogo's complaints aren't as clearly defined. You'll hear "What's wrong, Pogo?" around here. And "It's not my fault, Rocky."

  1. What lovelies! I have a blue-eyed, mostly white cat who gets lost, pretty much every day, inside our house. She cries piteously that no one cares for her, that no one loves her, that she might as well go die in a corner. And then purrs when I "find" her.

  2. I had a cat who would walk around the house in the winter picking up a front paw and meowing, slowly moving towards her destination as if to say, "the floor is so so cold, Bridgett!"

I also had one who would get lost in a room.

    1. She would do the same thing in my house for sure!

  4. Ok, now I'm even more convinced that we have to meet up at your place, Susan. A wine cellar to raid AND a couple of cats AND hopefully a beautiful blue birdlike bartender who can start shaking and stirring alluring cocktails whilst turning the occasional cartwheel.

  5. This makes me really miss my cats. I agree with Helen: PARTY AT SUSAN'S!

  6. Ah, but a correction is sorely needed. I have a wine rack, not a wine cellar. My cellar is an effing dungeon. And my wine rack is only partially filled with 22 bottles. But I have four cats!!

  7. Rocky looks like he'll be talking to you later about getting that camera out of his face.

  8. This makes me miss my cats too. And I'm all in for a party at Susan's. Will there be belly-dancing? lol

    (I'll bring some wine.)
