I wanted to do more
to help animals. And succeeded. Over the years we adopted many dogs and
cats from shelters and off the street. Of the 11 horses we eventually acquired,
several were rescues. Plus we donated regularly to animal charities. Today I
have only cats, but I freeze all my meat, chicken, and egg scraps for shelter
dogs.

You have accumulated some really good Karma! I can't imagine my life without the blessings of good dogs and cats.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that, Kim. Five of our cats used to sleep with me at night. They had their appointed (by them) spots and it was very cozy! My daughter Jill loved the sight of them following me, single file, up the stairs, and she would occasionally comment on all the "heaven points" I was accumulating.
DeleteThis is a good one. Our cats came from the SPCA. I would only ever adopt from there. I don't have near as many good karma points as you though.
ReplyDeleteIt sure sounds like you fulfilled this life dream!
ReplyDeleteThat must have been quite the sight.
